Global Knowledge Sharing Platform for Patient Safety (GKPS)
GKPS is an online and public platform jointly established by World Health Organization Patient Safety Flagship Unit and SingHealth Duke-NUS Institute for Patient Safety & Quality to facilitate systematic collection and sharing of patient safety knowledge by stakeholders in different geographic regions, economic and cultural settings.
It promotes the sharing of best practices related to the theme of each World Patient Safety Day (WPSD)for implementing and learning, as well as sharing of experiences in enhancing patient safety.
The goal is to connect key stakeholders involved in the development and implementation of patient safety and improvement practices, reporting, and learning systems by sharing methods, tools and resources, and the experiences of safety champions and local health care professionals to accelerate the current dissemination of patient safety and improvement strategies and learnings.
As a global community of learning, GKPS aims to support and enhance knowledge sharing and strengthen the global network to improve safety and quality of care and in driving the Global Patient Safety Action Plan (GPSAP) 2021-2030.
